About Amy

Amy-Lou - Bio

Amy's country roots flow deep, as evident in her love for the outdoors, horse riding/training and songwriting. A love to perform has lead to a thirteen year dance career and singing various venues since the age of three.

Her desire to entertain has never faded, no matter the crowd. Whether it's for an orphanage in Guatemala where she volunteered, for fans at the Ponoka Stampede, opening for acts like Clayton Bellamy, or just playing for family friends on the back deck.

Her unique vocals and songwriting abilities have earned not only performances but also exciting experiences in writing. She has taken 3 trips to music city, where she had many cowrites with some of Nashvilles best, some include Byron Hill, RyLee Madison, Cindy Morgan, Jeremy Bose, and also grammy award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick. The city has been great to Amy, she even played open mic at the prestigious Bluebird cafe.

Amy has spent some time in the studio, recording a single with MCC in Calgary Alberta. The record was overflowing with Canadian talent. Back up vocals done by CCMA's group of the year lead singer Stacie Roper of Hey Romeo. Some of the musicians included Russel Broom on guitar( music director for Jann Arden) and Chad Melchert on drums (drummer for Gord Bamford).

Currently Amy, has decided to spend a little more time with Nashville, honing her craft, playing writers nights, and making connections. But will be back in the New Year. Amy hopes to soon be on the airwaves of Canadian country radio and strongly believes 2014 is going to be a big year!
